Table Tennis Tournament!

Table Tennis has really been on the rise at the Dayton YMCA Teen Center. A lot of thanks goes to George Thompson from the Northern KY Table Tennis club for assisting the YMCA in getting official USATT status. On the last day of November, the Dayton YMCA hosted a table tennis tournament which was a huge success. A last minute upset put up-and-comming star, April, in second place. Lee (pictured) came in first with Bryan claiming third.

Bullying Awareness Night

April 26 was Bullying Awareness night at the Dayton YMCA Teen Center. The program was put on by YLD and was a great success. The evening featured a special speaker from the Health Department who spoke on what bullying is, and what we can do to prevent it. Following the speech was a skit put on by the YLD girls (in photo). The moral of the skit was that if kids will unite together and speak up against what is wrong, bullying will not continue. The evening ended with snack and some refreshments.
